HOW TO GET BY CAR
If you go to Buzios from Rio de Janeiro, it will be a trip of around two
hours. After going through the Rio-Niterói bridge, you will have to turn
left towards the region of lakes (região dos Lagos). Then, soon after
passing by Rio Bonito, you wil have to take a right on Via Lagos towards
Araruama/Cabo Frio (Região dos Lagos).
When getting to the end of the Via Lagos road, you will have to keep going
for about 5km until you get to the town entrance of São Pedro da Aldeia.
Then you will have to take the road RJ-106 going to Macaé/Búzios. Then,
after 14 km (right after passing by the gas station "Até que Enfim"), you
will take a right for about 10 minutes until you get to Búzios.
If you are coming the north or Vitória, you will be using the BR-101 road,
and then you will have to take the entrance to Rio das Ostras, then the
RJ-106, and finally, you will have to keep going around 56 km until you
get to Búzios.
If you are coming from Belo Horizonte going through Petrópolis, you have
to keep going until you take Rio-Teresópolis, Magé, BR-101 (Manilha).
Then, you will get to Rio Bonito using the Via Lagos road. Once you get to
the end of this road, you have to go for around 5 km until you get to the
town entrance of São Pedro da Aldeia. Then you will have to take the road
RJ-106 going to Macaé/Búzios. Then, after 14 km (right after passing by
the gas station "Até que Enfim"), you will take a right for about 10
minutes until you get to Búzios.
If you are coming from São Paulo (using the Dutra road), you have to go
until the exit "166 A" which is called Linha Vermelha. Once you are there,
you have to take the left exit which goes to Niterói and Regiãos dos
Lagos, then take another left and you will be in the Rio-Niterói bridge.
After passing the bridge, you have to go left towards the Região dos
Lagos.Then, soon after passing by Rio Bonito, you will have to take a
right on Via Lagos towards Araruama/Cabo Frio (Região dos Lagos).

km until you get to the town entrance of São Pedro da Aldeia. Then you

HOW TO GET BY BUS
There are daily buses that go from Rio de Janeiro to Búzios (Direct). They
depart from the bus station, Rodoviária Novo Rio, and the transportation
company Viação 1001 has the following offerings:
Rio-Búzios: 6:30, 9:15*, 11:15, 13:15*, 15:15, 17:15 e 19:30h.
* They are air-conditioned buses.
Búzios-Rio: 7:00, 9:00, 11:00, 13:00, 15:00, 17:00 e 19:00h.

Suggestions:
- You can buy your bus tickets by the Viação 1001's phone number or
website using a credit card. It is a good idea to buy your tickets in
advance during holidays and high season. And you should always check
prices and schedules.
- If you are coming from São Paulo and going directly to Búzios, there are
buses that go directly but they depart from São Paulo only on fridays at
21:45h, and go back on sundays at 21:30h. You will also have to check the
prices with the Viação 1001 bus company.
- An alternative way is coming through Cabo Frio. The Viação 1001 bus
company has buses going every hour from Rio, Niterói and São Paulo to Cabo
Frio. Once in Cabo Frio, you would have to use the Viação Salineira bus
company (22-2645-5454 ou 0800-245454) to go until Búzios. From Cabo Frio
to Búzios, there are buses every 20 minutes, but taxis are also another
choice.

HOW TO GET BY AIRPLANE
You can get to the Búzios airport by coming from the Guarulhos Airport in
São Paulo, or from the Santos Dumont Airport in Rio de Janeiro. All
flights come on fridays and sundays. The private airplanes can arrive to
the Umberto Modiano airport which is also in the Armação beach in Búzios.
HOW TO GET BY BOAT
The Marina Porto Búzios, and the Iate Clube have a sophisticated
infrastructure to anchor and to keep ships safe. Another option is the
